A little about our history

In 1975 the Welwyn and Hatfield Council built the Fairway Tavern and the Panshanger Golf Complex. The original intention was for the council to manage both elements together however in April 2004 the Fairway Tavern passed to private owners and has since become a family-run business. The Panshanger Golf Complex is now managed by Finesse Leisure in partnership with the Welwyn and Hatfield Council.

In August 2006 unused storage space beneath the main bar area was converted into accommodation; creating seven new ensuite rooms. In 2007 the AA graded the guest facilities at the Fairway Tavern as highly commended. We're proud to announce that we have retained this prestigious award this year through to 2010.

In recent years the Fairway Tavern has gone from strength to strength, and we're now proud to launch our latest endeavour; our brand new website.
